ok mabey the title is a bit misleading sorry but the council has voted that self defense is a reason to fulfill 11-47 although there is a long way to go and it looks like they will only accept that reason if there is a restraining order, we are getting closer

This state is full of fail

McCartney said an applicant shouldn't be able to simply claim a state of mind with no other cause for worry and expect a concealed carry permit.

Obviously he never read the state constitution:

Section 22. Right to bear arms. -- The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

Anything required more than state of mind is more than the right requires.....

i agree. they said that it has always been this way and that if you have a nco then that constitutes self defense.

people: self defense is a proper cause for 11/47
police: self defense is a proper cause IF YOU HAVE A RESTRAINING ORDER.

the police obviously do not want self defense as a reason and are trying to interpret the law in their own way.
