2020 presidential hopeful Sen. Elizabeth Warren told activists Monday that she would push to end the Israeli government's "occupation" of the West Bank and Gaza.

Well, all right then. Good to know exactly where you stand. I have relatives who live there. I'm very aware of the state of siege that Israel lives in.

I wonder if Warren is. Or if she cares.

It still amazes me that Jewish constituency is overwhelmingly Democrat. Why do they maintain allegiance to this political party?

And the article shows Sanders who is Jewish behind them? Would love to see him answer some questions on that one.

Let's understand that Israel is just like us and 50% of citizens are probably still friends of Pocahontas and other loose American liberals.
And in America we have this:
Inside the Jewish effort to stop ICE and Trump’s ‘concentration camps’
During the New Jersey protest on June 30, 36 Jewish activists were arrested and later charged with obstructing a public passage.

The group’s organizer, Sophie Ellman-Golan, tells Haaretz that she and fellow organizers were aware that “there was a lot of energy within the Jewish community to take action about this.”

i guess it is a mix of Jewish religion being so far flung, reaching all over the earth....American Jews do not associate/think like Israeli Jews. Its kind of like we like the Patriots in the NFL, but hate every other team, even though...they are all nfl football teams.

Because people are idiots. Like the ones that flee South Africa because of persecution, then come here and think guns should be illegal.

Or people that escape Venezuela and dont support gun ownership (I know quite a few of those).

This. It's no different than simply asking why lots of americans still vote for commies, socialists, and other authoritarian government types. Logic would say "well they're american, there's supposed to be a built in resistance to oppressive government" but that just isn't the case....

Watch: Elizabeth Warren Says She’ll Push Israeli Government to Abandon Judea and Samaria
Last month, BIN reported on a new campaign that was launched by the extreme left-wing organization, iFNotNow, to confront Democratic presidential candidates for the 2020 elections. Their objective is to press the candidates to clarify their position regarding the “occupation”. It should be noted that when referring to the Israeli-Arab conflict, the term “occupation” is a common euphemism for ethnically cleansing Israel’s Judea and Samaria region of its Jews.

IfNotNow activists scored one for their team after approaching former Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren at an event on Monday. One of the activists, named ‘Becca,’ said to Ms. Warren: “Hi, we’re American Jews. We really love the way you’re fighting corruption. We’d really love it if you also pushed the Israeli government to end the occupation.”

At which point Warren pointed at Becca replying “Yes, yes, so I’m there.”

Warren proceeded to get a picture with the activists positioning herself between the two women with an American flag as the backdrop.
-----------------------------------------------
Another woman proposed that Israel should be prevented from building any more settlements as a condition of future U.S. aid, however, Warren said, “I think there’s a question of whether we should go that far.”

And people wonder why I want to completely cut off immigration.

Why do we need to import even more people who are against basic rights as understood by true Americans?

Don't we have enough home grown enemies here already?

Not all Jews are Zionists. Plenty of them would like to end the occupation, too, even without Warren telling them to.

If she works as hard on this issue as she has for the citizens of MA, Lizzie will accomplish nothing.

We wouldn't be having this problem if the US and Israel weren't engaged in such an incestuous relationship in the first place.

Quite frankly: I think the Israelis deserve it if somebody like Warren gets elected and then starts screwing with THEIR internal politics.

God knows the Israeli and their fifth column sympathizers within the US have been doing the same thing manipulating internal US politics for decades now.

I'd be perfectly happy with doing what Ron Paul suggested when he ran: We will stop funding Israel - and in return Israel can deal with their own problems without the US sticking it's nose in where it doesn't belong.

But the Pro-Israel crowd made sure he was shut up and shut down right quick - so now we're gonna get what we're gonna get - aren't we?

I don't give a shit about the Palestinians.

And I don't really give a shit about Israel either.

But as I've said here before numerous times: Israel and it's supporters have FORCED me to give a shit, because they force money out of my pocket and into the bank accounts of Israel on a daily basis thru tax extraction.

They also go out of their way to ignore and bury incidents like the USS Liberty , which if Iran had done it they would have screamed to heavens - and been entirely OK with a few thousand US deaths in order to Avenge the Liberty!!

I see a bunch of people in this thread wondering why Jews in this country overwhelmingly support the Democrats. I can tell you that that support does not go unnoticed by an awful lot of people sitting at different positions on the right. I'm seeing a lot more "screw Israel" sentiment than I ever remember seeing before. A lot of it is coming from people who are sick to death of the leftist project to fill the entire country with immigrants from the turd world - which has been directly feeding all the "hate the white man" crap that's been accelerating over the last few years. What gets noticed is that the people who support massive immigration - seem to have an awful lot of Jewish names showing up. Immigration support for third worlders probably exists somewhere on the same retardation spectrum as Jews who love gun control. Why? Because - as you pointed out - the Democrats are pandering to their newly imported voting base - and that voting base doesn't give two shits about Israel. Mexicans, Squatamaleans, Congolese, Ecuadoreans, and all the other assorted flotsam they support importing - came here for their own benefit - not to support Israel.

So the more the Jews here in the US support replacing the white population - the more they lessen support for Israel. And the more the white population starts to notice their efforts. Warren is only pandering to a voting base that has historically supported Palestinians over Israel ("legacy" Democrats) - as well as a new voting base that doesn't give a crap about Israel. So it's a twofer.

If you're sensing that unequivocal support for Israel is fading away in the US - you're probably right.

That isn’t my understanding of the situation in Israel. From what I’m told, there is a Conservative party and an Ultra Conservative party. At least relative to here. They don’t have moonbats like we do. Not even close.

They all (virtually all, male and female) serve in the military and most of them have direct experience with war and terrorism (including missiles that are fired from Lebanon into civilian areas currently on a daily basis). They also have a better understanding (than most Americans and even American Jews) that their country was founded as essentially a direct result of 6 million of their ancestors being wiped out in the holocaust. I'm surprised by the restraint they generally show. In my opinion Jews in this country, with some exceptions (like supporters of JFPO) take more of the approach that this can't happen here than what "Never Forget" was intended to mean. As a Jew it boggles my mind and it's a point I argue frequently with any members of my tribe who espouse that BS.

As I've said in private conversation with more than one member here, I do not believe that my government is going to put me on a train, put me in a concentration camp and kill me. But - I grew up sitting on my god-father's knee, seeing the tattoo that he got in one of Hitler's concentration camps; people are capable of incredible evil.

My godmother, (my mother's aunt), couldn't have children because of the "experiments" that were done to her by "doctors" in that f***ing camp. I didn't understand why they had food stashed around their house in odd places until I was a teenager. Or why they were stamp dealers - they could put a million dollars worth of stamps in an envelope, put the envelope in an inner pocket - and run - on 30 seconds notice. And they were prepared to do so. My god-father, who went to temple every day, had a pistol in his safe. Now that I'm older - I suspect it wasn't legally obtained.

I grew up learning my family's history, which includes my mother fleeing as a child from Vienna, and her father disappearing. The holocaust isn't the only genocide in recent history - it's the genocide that's impacted my family.

Like others in this forum, I'm a Jew - and I'm a gun owner. I'm not giving up my guns, and I'm not trusting my government to "take care of me". "Never Forget" is hard-wired into me. I rarely go to Temple, when I do, I carry a gun. When I attend my wife's church, I carry a gun there too. She used to get upset about that, she doesn't any more.

That's an oversimplification. But Israelis do have interesting opinions about the American Jewish community.

I had dinner with my Israeli friend yesterday. He was in the IDF in 2006 during the Israel-Hezbollah War. He described seeing the Hezbollah rockets arcing high overhead and how the Israel anti-missile defenses were sophisticated enough to intercept only the Hezbollah rockets that were likely to land in populated areas. His words - "a $300,000 interceptor to take down a $1,000 rocket - you don't waste them."

I know nothing about the Israeli anti-missile systems so can't judge if his assessment was accurate.

I fixated on the word "likely" in this post. My takeaway is that someone on the goverment's dime is empowered to make that decision, based on the calculation of a rocket's trajectory, in seconds. The further takeaway is the citizens continue to willingly empower their government to do that.

Israeli domestic politics are more complicated than some posters here are saying, but the basic fact remains that the whole country is the size of New Jersey and is surrounded by BGs. Everyone in Israel can immigrate; nothing is forcing the citizens to live there. So, regardless of their spot on the political spectrum, the citizens there are all in on national survival. Because they've got no other option.

My friend thinks the trajectory calculation and launch decision were performed automatically by the (American) anti-missile system. However, this is one of the few things I know nothing about. :)

It's always interesting to talk to my friend and hear the Israeli perspective.

Not 50/50 but their literal Communist party Hadash has 4 seats in the Knesset. Their Labor Party has 6 seats as well.

So not close to 50/50 but regardless of how we may classify our leftists few of them in congress would actually openly call themselves communists like they do in Israel.

Stalin's birthday is still celebrated in Israel. Not by everyone by any means but it's common in the Russian Jewish Israeli community.

History is complicated.

Not sure, if serious. Israel has plenty of moonbats. And they are multiplying:
Barak names his new political party The Israel Democratic Party - Jewish Telegraphic Agency

They are also Orthodox Jews who do not recognize State of Israel, kind of similar to some libertarians on NES.[laugh]

Let's not forget that those, who by miracle survived pogroms and camps and tried to return home after 1945, had quickly fund out that their homes are no longer theirs, their businesses are no longer there, or they belonged to someone else. We think that only Nazis were responsible for genocide but Polish, Ukrainian, Slovak, Hungarian, Croatian, Austrian and Soviet citizens had their share. Jews were being systematically killed also from 1945 all the way to 1955 because they wanted their property back. Stalin organized clean up of the communist party with a special focus on Jews.......

No country was interested in you, you just survived concentration camp and you have nowhere to go. What would you do?
