For sale is a vintage Remington 870 rifled slug special from the early 60s. These were made from about 59-61 and are seldom seen. It has a 26 inch slug barrel with sights. Rifled refers to the fact that it is made to shoot rifled slugs not that the barrel is rifled. Also included is a 30 inch full choke barrel. Shotgun and barrels are for 2 and 3/4 inch shells.
I would say this is a classic old New England hunting set up. Get your red checked hat and you’ll be ready for deer and duck hunting!
I called Remington and verified that it was made in 1960.
Overall it is in pretty nice condition with some minor hunting wear.
Price for this rare and seldom seen shotgun is $575 OBO
