VFW PAC - YOU SUCK

I got an email last night from Bev Perlson (Band of Mothers) that reported that the VFW-PAC (the political action committee of the Veterans of Foreign Wars) is supporting Democrat Ron Klein. Now, just because he’s a Democrat, that doesn’t mean he doesn’t merit the VFW’s support. Of course, being a rich lawyer from Boca Raton doesn’t exempt him either. Neither does the fact that he’s never served a day in the military. Reading his bio, I don’t think he’s ever laid eyes on anyone else in the military.

This issue is not regional in nature, it's national. As VFW members, your PAC has endorsed political candidates that most of you or at least many of you would have issue with. Speak nothing of the endorsement of Klein (a non-vet) over LTC Allen West, a distinguished vet in the state of Florida. If you're a VFW member, or not, it doesn't matter, you should become vocal. The VFW PAC is a shameful representation of the VFW.

The VFW gets vocal when a local high school kid burns a flag for an art project, but is nowhere to be found when vets are being called domestic terrorists by the DHS. They also don't seem to have a position on military votes going uncounted, specifically in Massachusetts. Then, they wonder why all these new vets being churned out of the current conflicts are not flocking to join them.

What a surprise. Another Veterans org sells us out. I've been here too many times. Let me out at the next light!

The VFW PAC has endorsed Barbara Boxer (D-CA) a liberal who votes to decrease military spending.

What's the policy/position point of these candidates that's driving the PAC support? I'm guessing it's some form of entitlement program.

this the type of stuff I have come to expect from the VFW PAC. I was forced to leave the VFW and vow to NEVER re-join when in my home state of Vermont they gave their support to the self proclaimed socialist, Bernie Sanders
