Vaultek Life Pod owners - cover the password reset button.

With a handgun in there firmly sandwiched between the foam so as to not shift around, would there still be enough room to slide a fork in and depress the reset button?

Suppose it would entirely depend on gun orientation in the box. Although, I'd say this is a horrible design regardless if you can slide anything into it while it is closed without having to bend any of the housing. Even if the lock was solid, being able to get purchase inside the box lid is just a leverage point for a prybar or even a large screw driver.

all well and good but if you didn't have the combo to open and inspect you wouldn't know where the button was.

you're probably getting this to keep kids out, not a criminal that will just take the whole thing away

i'm sure whoever wants in would unsecure it from whatever and take it home and open it at their leasure.

Lol, less than that even, it's a legal compliance device, nothing more. Keeping kids out- toddlers, maybe, but a 10 year old could probably bust that thing open in like 5
minutes.
