16 Companies Sign On As Division Sponsors For USPSA’s 2008 Area 1 Match
Sedro-Woolley, WA — Bruce Gary, the United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA) Area 1 Director, announced that 16 companies have signed on as division sponsors for the 2008 USPSA Area 1 Championships scheduled for June 25-29 at the Tri-County Gun Club in Sherwood, Oregon. There are six divisions within USPSA and an Area 1 Champion will be crowned in each.
Blackhawk Industries, Bob Marvel Custom Guns and Streamlight are sponsoring the Revolver division while Schuemann Barrel and Wilson Combat will be sponsors of the increasingly popular Single Stack division.
In the Limited and Limited-10 divisions, Major Nyne Guns, Springer Precision and M21 Custom Tactical are sponsoring Limited with KKM Precision, Warne Manufacturing and NIC Industries sponsoring Limited-10.
The Open division, the Formula-1 of pistol competition, will be sponsored by JPL Precision and Limcat Custom. First Light USA, Hardigg Cases and Pro Ears are sponsoring the Production division.
“Once again we see the popularity of the sport of Practical Shooting reflected in the strong support of so many companies. With the USPSA member spending on average as much as $2,800 annually just on the sport, it’s no wonder more companies see USPSA members as a vital market niche. And we’re glad to have them involved and appreciate their support,” said Bruce Gary, USPSA Area 1 Director.
Upwards of 340 top shooters from across America are expected to battle their way through 12 challenging stages at the Tri-County Gun Club range. The strong shooter turnout is due in no small part to the continued growth in industry sponsorship.
