USPSA @ New Bedford - Sunday 8/7

As mentioned at Sunday's (7/24) match, due to Bass River postponing their match schedule while working on their ranges, we've decided to run a USPSA match on Sunday (8/7) to fill the void, but our crew will be limited so we can use some help running stages.

Usual 5 stages (maybe 6), including a classifier. Registration starts at 9am, shooters meeting at 9:25am and first caps at 9:30am.

Directions to the club and range: http://rodgun-nb.org/directions.htm

We're always interested in new folks getting involved - especially with this match. New shooters are always welcome.

See you all on Sunday!

PS: As a reminder, for shooters from squad 1 from the 7/24 USPSA match, you have the opportunity to re-shoot the classifier correctly after the completion of Sunday's match.

I didn't mean it in a ghey whey - not that there's anything wrong with that - as long as your safe that is.

Triple ^5 to the New Bedford crew for putting on a great match today. Once I accepted the fact that I was going to get soaked to the bone and squish in my sneakers the whole match, it was 'almost' fun running through the rain and standing in those puddles. I drove from Wareham - 20 minutes to get there. Going home - mini hurricane on Hixsville Rd where I thought a tree was going to fall on me, 2 accidents on 195 that had us sitting there for some time and then 3 roads closed due to flooding near my house which added about 10 more miles in detours to my trip - make that about an hour and a half to get home. But it was worth it! Thanks.

Hi Donna,
You guys should have come to Westfield, 5 stages, warm (actually hot & sweating) but DRY!
only about 25 folks showed up..

What, and miss out shooting with the REAL shooters who laugh in the face of rain! Bunch of wussies!!!

Wow that was a lot of rain. Haven't shot in that much rain in a looong time. And no rain coat would have kept you dry - not a chance! We put out a lot more steel than usual to avoid having to tape as many targets. There was 29 pieces of steel in todays match.

Thanks to the real shooters (some even came down from Maine!) for coming out and playing today. I can't get to the NorthEast section website so you'll have to see them at the club's website: http://www.rodgun-nb.org/ap/results/RGNB_2011_08_07.txt

I want to especially thank all of the people and my squad (and I know I speak for Chuck too) for helping us break down after the match. You don't know how much we appreciated it - again, Thank You!
