Used revolver

I am going to a gun show tomorrow. Looking for a 22 cal. revolver, used, in the $200 range, more or less. Ruger or Smith preferred. Any suggestions on model numbers with a good reputation? Not a carry gun, just for target and playing. Long barrel. Thanks.

Might be difficult to hit that range at a gun show. Your best bet might be a Ruger Single Action .22. I've had several and they are good range guns.

You won't find a Smith .22 revolver for less than $400.

you never know man... look for a Rossi. I have had a rossi m88 in .38 spl and it has been flawless and it cost me $250 in a private sale...

$200 for a good used Ruger or S&W? Good luck with that.

You're probably going to find a junker for that kind of money.

You're better off trying to find a used SW22A, (semi) as those guns are often under $300 new. Any .22LR wheelgun under $200 is probably a shot out POS that shaves off bullets at the forcing cone.

I can more than that if I find a good one. Just need model numbers of reliable ones to look for.

Four Seasons had a S&W 22a in 22LR for $199. Other than that I'm not sure if I've seen a S&W .22 for less than $350 for a few years, especially a decent one. You can find used a Ruger MK something for around $250 occasionally, but that's about it.
