The passenger was stabbed in his back and suffered a puncture to his lungs, Williams said. He remains in critical condition.

This accident could have ended up in death of all passengers had it not been for a good person with a gun. Can we start an outrage over US not allowing citizens to carry on airplanes?

Happy ending, at least if the victims all survive.

I almost 'hijacked' a Tropic Air flight from Ambergris Key to Belize City. F-ing pilot shortly after takeoff ignored the stall warning buzzer WAY too long with a heavily loaded aircraft. I had unbuckled and was getting up to walk forward and ask him WTF? when he finally dropped the nose a little and gained some airspeed. The warning wasn't an intermittent blip, it was a full blown and loud stall warning buzzer indicating airflow separation from the wing. Worst case my chunky ass moving forward would have been better for the weights and balances under that condition.

Edit- I do know how to fly.

I was shocked that Belize would allow 1) a gun on a plane and 2) A licensed person. Wouldn't have thought a small SA country would allow any of that - unless the person is a C-O-P.

It's difficult in Belize, but more obtainable than other Latin American countries. Think of a cross between Mass and Hawaii.
