I'm getting ready to mail one of my suppressors back to the manufacturer for some warranty work and I was curious if anyone has had any recent experiences with UPS.

Based on the manufacturers recommendation to use UPS I was going to make sure to use their service center not one of the franchise shops.

From what I have read at the UPS site, I will need to declare the item as a firearm.

Anyone have any good or (hopefully not) bad experiences with this process?

Send it by US MAIL. REGISTERED AND INSURED.

Thats how I sent out the last last machine gun I sold. Saved me 50% of what fedex wanted. Fedex ended up refusing to ship it because they wanted a copy of the FFL of the recipient. That is not required by law, so I went to my local post office amd sent it out. Arrived with no issues at all.

Why would you need to 'declare the item as a firearm' when it's an accessory?? Or just list it as 'machined metal parts'... ;)
