Dear friends,

There are three Amateur Radio public service events coming up this fall. I hope each of you will step up, pile on, and bring your volunteer expertise to make each of these events safe and fun!

22 September, 2019 (Sunday)
Louisa May Alcott 5&10K
Concord MA
0800 to 1300
Need mobile SAG units, bikes, and NCOC assistance
2M Amateur Radio simplex for communications

5 October, 2019 (Saturday)
Cystic Fibrosis Cycle for Life
Holliston, MA
0700 to 1400
Need mobile SAG units, bikes, and NCOC assistance
UHF/VHF DMR and commercial radio for communications

27 October, 2019 (Sunday)
Ashland Half Marathon
Ashland, MA
0700 to 1300
Need mobile SAG units, bikes, and NCOC assistance
UHF/VHF DMR, VHF simplex for communications

Please let me know which of these (all?) you can help with and in what desired capacity. Your prompt reply will help enormously as we plan.

For those volunteers who do not yet hold an FCC Amateur Radio license, we need assistance in the operations center for each of these events, and may have some opportunities for volunteers using a commercial radio at the Ashland Half and the Cycle for Life. I've included our stars from the 2019 Boston Marathon, licensed and otherwise, in this mailing.

Amateur Operators note: For DMR, we have loaners available.

Thank you so much!
