I have a cousin who did that. "I want a baby!" (so she got knocked up)
Then it was "I want a wedding!" (NOT "I love this guy and want us to be together forever" but "I want a big to-do thrown in my honor and to be the center of attention")

I'm guessing that hookers and treating STDs are cheaper (financially and emotionally) than marriage!

Two pieces of advice I received from sage elders over the years might apply here:

    1. If it has tires or tits, it's going to be trouble.
    2. If it flies, floats, or f---s, rent it.

Not that I've been able to actually follow that advice...

As women increasingly find men "not up to snuff" in the money/looks/baby-making role, will more and more women marry other women...?

And, will they be any happier...?

    "Laziness knows no gender..."

No, they'll be depressed as shit under the guise that they're happy (1 in 10 american women take long-term antidepressants according to Harvard)

Since feminism turned women into men, they no longer respond to masculine energy. IF they're looking for a male, it's certainly one with a reciprocating estrogen/testosterone ratio.

    Fun Calvin Coolidge story:

On their way back home from their Montreal honeymoon, Calvin Coolidge handed his new bride a paper bag filled with 52 pairs of holey socks. Grace now-Coolidge asks if he just married her to get his socks mended. Coolidge's response: "No, but I find it might handy."

The Peculiar and Biting Calvin Coolidge Wit - New England Historical Society

Ah yes, De Beers. Cecil Rhodes was a damned good salesman. Brings up another good one: "why is divorce so expensive?" "Because it's worth it."

    ...

My dream wedding: have it at the gun club. Or at least the after-party at the gun club. Bachelor's party will consist of either rounds of skeet or trap or 3-gun/2-gun.

First wedding cost my ex and I around 40k including honeymoon (2 weeks in St Martens) and "traditional" rings. Hers cost about 3 grand. Divorce cost me at least 150k.

Second marriage was on the firing line at my club (actually HER idea) and cost about 4 grand. Honeymoon was 2 weeks of towing the Harley with an RV, rings are stainless and totaled maybe $150.
