With a most interesting quote from the judge (Cunis) who denied release without bail (but did set it at a whopping $1000) :

Opperman asked Cunis to release Bell with no bail, but Cunis said that wasn't going to happen.

"I can imagine the fear the homeowner felt, coming home and finding a stranger on his property, in his garage," said Cunis. "(Bell is) lucky the homeowner didn't have a license to carry, or it could have been much worse."

I'm not sure if this is a pro or anti carry statement [rolleyes]

I'd like to know where he got the shirt.

I suspect there is no shortage of people, myself included, who would gladly give this homeowner a licensing class free of charge.

Seems like the judge doesn't know justifiable use of deadly force in MA. Sounds like this guy would have crapped his pants if homeowner had LTC and drew a firearm. Well on second thought maybe that would have been worse. [laugh]
