No surprise at all. I seem to remember at the time they were staying at the only hotels that were open and complaining about the lack of room service etc.
One of the upper level officials, who soon resigned, said that it would take several months of study to determine what the needs of the victims were.
I don't know if there is a more useless organizatin on the face of the earth.

Not surprised. It is like the Red Cross's mishandling of the funds for 9/11 victims/families.
Granted the DNC, PETA and HCI are useless groups of horse poop, however, they DO have agendas. The UN just sits on their butts trying to figure out ways to control things and steal money. Other than the oil for food program, they're completely impotent.

Or the kicker to the Red Cross that really tees me off if selling the blood for our wounded troops, also charging our troops for necessities when they are in the hospital recovering. [evil]

I recommend the church, your choice of religion (Jewish and Muslim included). I'm an Atheist, but, I think the church has several good points for donations. Low Overhead (usually no overhead) and little, if any, corruption. Hard to beat that.

I had an older friend that was a forester out west many years ago. He said that when there were big forest fires, the Salvation Army always showed up and expected nothing in return. He said the Red Cross would provide service and then send a bill.

What is really starting to shock me is the recent (last 2 months or so) transition of the major TV news shows. They are starting to become less Liberal biased, and less anti-war. Maybe they figured out what the American Public really thinks, instead of their narrow minded Liberals that have been there too long (Rather and Jennings, primarily).

I'd like to believe that Nick but take this for instance....There were numerous TV and newspaper reports on the anniversary of the Tsunami of last year. Did you happen to hear one story on how at least 1/3 of the money that the UN "collected" was used for admin purposes? I sure didn't. I found it checking an "alternative" news source.

I'm 100% sure some are doing it to look more moderate, to keep time with Hitlery Klinton's Presidential FLOP. The joke will be on them.
As bad as Bush is in some areas, if the DNC had put up a decent candidate, I would think they could've gotten over 60% of the vote. But, the extreme-left Liberals are running the DNC, so we got Kerry for their candidate. The only Dem's that could've done worse were Kennedy, Klinton, Upchuck the Schmuck and Feinswine.

The reason they didnt was because they were the 3 major countries skimming off of the top of the program, and if we went into Iraq, their rampant corruption would be discovered, which it was through Iraqi records, this happened almost 3 years ago!
