Ukraine Deployment Packing List

enough people have come back for this to happen

You'd think that someone seriously considering going over to fight would have their finger on the pulse of "am I needed?" and "who do I contact?"

I have a lot of respect for the people who do it. I don't have much for the people who larp it though.
Do they even have the rifles and ammo for those 100,000 men showing up?

Don't forget the most important item of all. Can't be a real operator without that!

A camelbak for water on the rig and a filter bag to squeeze clean water into it.

Some sort of tear off IFAK with gauze trauma pads, antibiotic ointment and waterproof tape. Cut the pads up as needed with a piece of tape for small cuts. A course of antibiotics like Amoxicillin. Moleskin or equivalent for foot blisters/sores.

I can't provide feedback on new carriers as I'm still running a 10+ year old American Eagle. Everyone raves about the Crye for weight and mobility so probably your best bet.

Pouches, honestly I'd go with something like a taco where you can cram a mag of varying size/shape depending on what you're given, or something more generic with a button flap and then you can pad it with foam to make it snug when you get there. Either way I'd not buy something hard shell even though I prefer them.

Boots are tough depending on shape of your foot. I have two pairs I wear all the time. One is a Rocky thinsulate boot. Waterproof and warm for winter use. Pic below.

The other is more of a warm weather boot the 5.11 ATAC 2.0. Super quiet, very comfortable but on the softer side and they might wear too fast.

I can't speak to glasses. I've hated every pair I've owned and View them as too consumable to marry myself to a pair.

WileyX all day for eye pro

For purposes of discussion, if one were to deploy to the war zone, what would you recommend bringing?

Particularly interested in recommendations for the following items.
A quality chest rig for AK mags.
A quality shingle for AK mags to hang on the front of body armor.
Combat boots appropriate for the weather conditions.
What is the clear eye pro of choice these days
Camo pattern recommendation

Be as specific as possible, links are appreciated, price not a consideration, thanks for your ideas.
Update will.
