Lol Sessions should stick to playing reefer madness in his office over and over again and leave everyone else alone.
Hey Sessions- nobody gives a shit about building a plastic gun- and building something "undetectable" is pretty nearly impossible when the sum of the required parts is taken into a consideration. Otherwise people would have just been molding guns by now out of plastic.

The United States Undetectable Firearms Act of 1988 (18 U.S.C. § 922(p)) makes it illegal to manufacture, import, sell, ship, deliver, possess, transfer, or receive any firearm that is not as detectable by walk-through metal detection as a security exemplar containing 3.7 oz of steel, or any firearm with major components that do not generate an accurate image before standard airport imaging technology.

Nothing will ever be done about inner city violence. The problem is too complex for a politician to solve nor do they want to. The fear of that violence is what keeps much of the government in business.

Making undetectable firearms is already illegal. Perhaps this is the adminstration's way of changing the news cycle on 3d printed guns without actually doing anything?

I have a different read on the article. I like what he said, though he could have said it better. I think he's saying new rules about 3D printed guns are pointless as current law covers the manufacturing of any type of gun.

Technical point: the receiver is the firearm, as we all know. If you have a receiver, and it doesn't contain the required amount of metal, you've broken the law before the metal is added. It doesn't matter if it's complete or fireable.
The only legal way to make a 3D printed plastic firearm is to print the plastic around the metal.
