Trying to ID a bayonet

Thanks for the info my Google came back with nothing.

My grandfather told me he and his father cleaned out the house of a widowed wife of a Civil war soldier in the 40’s... he is starting to loose his memory now though so he doesn’t remember.

Enfield bayonets had the collar lock as did the .58 Springfields. My '62 Tower had the "T" as well. The collar is missing.

Ya I figured that there was a piece missing. Supposedly my great grandfather had the gun it went on also and lent it to a club for a display and it was stolen. Again all info can’t exactly be coroberated but when he told me the stories about it he was younger and remembered details that seemed too realistic to be a story.

I don’t plan on selling it and know that condition is everything and it’s missing a piece but is there any value to it? Just curious I will be keeping it but would like to know. I know there are a lot of them out there.
