I saw a fake add a couple of times for night sites that fit the side of a glock. You know for shooting gangsta style.. Anyone know where I can find it? I have a friend I was telling about it and I would like to send it to him.

Thanks
Adam

They are from Birdman Products, "Unfriendly products for unfriendly times.". I'll have to see if I can remember the website.

I'd pay to have sights like that on my G17... [roll]

Well, actually I'd need TWO G17s so that I could dive head first down the stairs firing both guns simultaneously. Isn't that how it's done these days?

Yea, but just make sure that you're on your back, shooting upside down.

Shouldn't that be while jumping 30 feet into the air, in slow motion, while watching the bullets look like they are doing Mach 2 but taking 10 seconds to hit anything?

I better get fitted for a harness then... [lol]

At IDPA practice tonight, after TonyD and Derek left, alas, there was an interesting drill. Draw your weapon, get down on the ground prone (there was some carpeting there to protect us from the rocks), fire at 1 steel "pepper popper", and then, WHILE ROLLING OVER, shoot the last three remaining pepper poppers BEFORE YOU COMPLETED A FULL ROLL ONTO YOUR BELLY AGAIN.

It was a complete HOOT! Chris (our Chris) is the guy who pretty much single-handedly got IDPA running at Riverside, and his was the fiendish imagination who came up with this scenario. I nicknamed him "Chrisbert" for it... he's our Evil Match Director. [lol] [lol] [lol]

I can't even get prone anymore, let alone shoot upside down or in the process of rolling! Christopher...you are definately evil. [lol]

Oh Ross. I had to make you roll around on the ground - especaily when you pulled out that PPK, started talking with a British accent, and were asking everyone if they had seen Moneypenny anywhere.

(^_^)

Lynne - I try VERY hard to challenge my shooters in doing something they may have never thought about before. The old addage that "you'll never know what you'd do unless you try it."

BUT, I also go to some great efforts to make plans for those who for whatever reason can not complete the task.

Last night was no different. I had plans for revolver shooters, plans for those who could not do the prone positions, and was highly alert for potential safety issues. I'm sure Ross can chime in here how fast the 'STOP' command was given when his muffs fell off during a low barricade drill.

I have found that the hardest part about designing good challenging IDPA stages where you don't just pop holes, but solve problems is the amount of planning and dry runs I have to do with the stages to maintain safety. Even last night, I did some things in certain ways to see how people would 'solve' the problem so I can better design and explain the CoF I pan to run in August.

Hell, my 'beginner' book on IDPA shooting has been in the works now for 5 months and I'm still tweaking it. (and no, the book is NOT for sale, it is the coursebook for the intro class)

Perhaps I am the evil Chrisbert - But DAMN it, I'm gonna make shooters have fun dispite themselves. (^_^)

Chris, do please take note of my comment just before I "complained" about the COF. :D I said it was a hoot, and I meant it. I went home last night with a great big SEG on my face.

I had a great time, and I think everyone else did too. You just caught us all by surprise with the rolling shoot!

And yes, I'm VERY grateful that you called a stop when my muffs fell off! Those Browning muffs just weren't designed to stay on in that position, and I was frankly more than a little scared to hear Brent's next shot ring out! But you reacted immediately, and I appreciate how safe a range you run.

But you're still an Evil Match Director, Chrisbert. [lol] [lol] [lol]

Chris, I wish I could have made it that night. I might have had a problem doing it, but I would have at least tried. Course, I might have wound up laughing so hard I probably wouldn't have been able to shoot! [lol]

Yeah, stopping laughing long enough to shoot was a definite problem. :) But any shoot where you walk away with a big grin on your face is a good shoot, no matter what your score was.

Lynne, see you next Thursday?

Depending on hubby's work schedule and students (I don't think we've got any right now), and if I can get hubby to come too (cuz I think he'd like it), you just might. :D
