Very old news.

The general gist, and my limited input on this. King 0 put this out there. It would have made it so your mom or dad, etc. Couldn't own a gun. For something as basic as no longer being able to pay their monthly bills. Not financially, but mentally. Can't keep track of your financials would equate to loss of rights.

Of course it's more sinister than that. Potentially opening the door for you or I to be deemed unfit.

Also, keep in mind that an elderly person may appoint a SS "representative payee" as a matter of convenience, even if not mentally incompetent.

or it may be a physical thing, such as not being able to get to the bank regularly.
