My pickup truck has a hard fiberglass bed cover that locks down and the tailgate also locks. Does this qualify as a locked container for transporting firearms in MA?

But it wouldnt hurt to add a trigger lock two or a lock on the case.

The short answer is that the security of the container will be determined in court if you're charged with violating the storage law, which is different than the "transport" law. I'd do everything in your power to make it as secure as possible, and also to make it appear as secure as possible, to keep you out of court in the first place. I agree with MACGYVR that it's better to have it too secure than not enough.
