Transferring firearms from my unlicensed father

My father has given me 4 guns, I plan on keeping 3 and selling 1 for him. I have 2 questions:
Should I bother transferring the ones I'm keeping into my name, and if so, how do I do that?
How do I transfer the one he wants to sell to me in order to sell it, or would he be better off putting it on consignment?

Assuming YOU are licensed, and are both MA residents, yes. Bring your father and the firearms to a FFL to effect the transfer to you. This is the only legal way of transferring ownership in this situation.
