Top Shot

I enjoyed the show when it was on. I tried out and communicated with the production company a couple of times, but never got to the in-person review step.
Oh well, I've been on TV a few times so I guess I already had my 15 min of fame. [grin]

Excellent show...I think that after Sandy Hook the tide turned on shows with guns on basic cable and thats one of the reasons it dissapeared. The other might have been a budget issue.

Is that why Elvis used to shoot TVs? [laugh]

I never really got into the show, as the whole "drama" stuff is not my cup of tea. Some of the odder challenges were interesting, though. I liked the slingshot one. Nice twist on shooting.

I noticed that in the last season they totally dropped all the house drama crap.
I suspect they got enough feedback on it.
The season before that , it was looking more like "The Bachelor." than a shooting show.

I liked the show don't think I missed an episode, I do remember the football coach who said he was a SEAL in one round the pistol kept malfunctioning and he couldn't figure how to solve the problem pistol stove pipes or failed to go into battery. Anyway he quit after that round. Guy was a tool on top of that.

At least the competitions were real and the depicted winners were the ones who actually won (at least according those involved who I have spoken with). I expect the drama was encouraged, but it wasn't as bad as those house shopping shows where the house has already been purchased by the so-called house hunters before they start to compare houses and make their "selection" on the show.

Interesting cast of characters - numerous well known shooters, including Matt Burkett (did time for large scale of non-delivery of paid for custom guns; released 12/6/2019) and Taran Butler. A friend of mine made a bunch of guns for the show, all with serial numbers starting TopShot.

Seach "gun" or "guns" on amazon prime
Theres alot of gun stuff , episodes of forgotten weapons I have not seen, tales of t he gun, when I bored i just pick something and watch .....

I've seen all the seasons. Chris Reed was my favorite. Country boy that grew up hunting and shooting. Was a competition shooter but was not an "operator" like some of the contestants and had no chip on his shoulder. He was season 2 winner if I remember.

Season 4 had a couple of guys I grew to hate......had a couple of "swat" team guys. Greg littlejohn was a dink.....and Chris chen......a self taught shooter that was an it specialist won that season.

I think Son of Guns and American Guns left a bad taste in Discovery Channels mouth.

Taran Butler has done well for himself. In the news most recently for training stars for the John Wick movies and building custom guns for them also.
