Threaded pistol barrels yay or nay

I am looking into getting the spec-ops barrel for the m&p pistol which is threaded. It would allow me to run a comp on the barrel or should I move to a free state a silencer. Thoughts?

A threaded barrel is ok, providing you don't have any other "evil" features.

(30) The term "semiautomatic assault weapon" means -

(iv) a manufactured weight of 50 ounces or more when the

pistol is unloaded; and

(v) a semiautomatic version of an automatic firearm;

How many pistols have exposed barrels? Aren't they all shrouded?

I think the G18 was developed based on the G17 platform for Austrian Special Forces.

I missed that aspect of the definition: the barrel not only has to be covered but in a way that lets you hold it.
