I know i am beating this to death, but I have an other question about permanently attaching a muzzle device. I have a brake I like, but I want to save it for the ultimate SBR project. I have a RRA 9MM upper that I am converting into post ban, and I don't want to waste the brake.
My understanding is the threads must be unusable, given the permanently mounted brake. Could i have someone pin a thread protector on the barrel for now? If that doesn't sound like a possibility or not such a good idea, does anyone have any suggestions? 9MM brakes are kind of hard to find. I am thinking about just cutting the barrel down once I get my tax stamp and mounting the brake I like anyways.
Thanks for the time,
Ed
