This man believes in his product - bullet proof glass

reminds me of the videos with the maker of bullet proof materials that used to have people shoot him point blank.
Wow

No mag dump? Weak. I doubt someone opening up on you with an AK is going to stop at 3 rounds. If it doesn't stop a mag, it's probably not of much use when you actually get ambushed.

Getting three hits on a moving vehicle with an AK pretty much falls into the act of God category.

Plus, it would be stupid to mag dump the windshield for a live test because one round ending up too close to another would have an unacceptable level of risk of breaking through behind an earlier one. A risk acceptable given real world violence associated with an attack but not acceptable in a test environment. As I know you know, but the OP seems to have forgotten, things are bullet resistant, not bullet proof.

Yeah I just replied in the comments to the two guys bickering back and forth about whether it's an 'Assault Rifle' or an 'Assault Weapon' and what either of those terms actually means and why. username: RipSteakFace

...and yeah, sweet vid. I need to get me one of those so I can take photos from downrange.

I've often been tempted to do the same thing but I've reached the conclusion that at least a good 50% or more of youtube commenters are typically functioning at a "much less than retarded" IQ level. It's easy to see why a lot of people disable video comments. [laugh]

What a stupid idea. I mean, stand behind your products and all that, but what if there was a damn defect? Dude would be in a casket.

for some people proving a point at work is worth risking their life, apparently.

And what if he was struck by lightening, or slipped in the bathtub? If you are asking people to trust their lives to your product you should be able to trust your life to your product. You must have heard of the expression put your money where your mouth is.

Yeah, plus it's his company, and his product. I guess people were questioning whether it really worked or not, so as a CEO, he put his money where his mouth is. Ballsy, but it showed confidence in his product, and that confidence wasn't unfounded, apparently.

ETA: It was probably the best marketing stunt he could have done.

That is an awesome video! I wonder how much those windshields actually cost? I love how the shooter says "holy crap" as if he was in disbelief that he didn't kill his boss at the end! No matter how good that glass is, that guy had some BIG BALLS to actually do that. I wonder what kind of liability there would have been for the shooter if a bullet actually killed the guy?

I'm sure there was a lot of behind-the-scenes preparation, including consulting the lawyer squad to deal with the possibility (however small) that something could go wrong. I think the "holy crap" was probably scripted ahead of time as a sort of reminder to the viewer that they just saw a guy get shot at three times and to illustrate just how confident you have to be in your product to trust your life to it.

this post proves, that no matter what you do to prove your product, someone somewhere will never be happy.

Can you dump an entire mag on a window of a moving vehicle, that will take off as soon as you start shooting from 6 feet away?
