I use to use a long kids sled to drag out my deer, too. Worked great (strap game down good) going up & down hill - over leaves or rocks! I changed out with stronger rope. My buddy laughed at me.
Hoses off easy - nothing sticks to the polyethylene (milk jug material). Never cracked either due to cold. Also if some one stumbles across it they most likely won't steal it IMHO.
