    Historical note: Back in the 18th century NO ONE drank water. Usually the water was pretty bad because of people living near the river and using it for a multitude of things. The only time it was used for drinking was after it was boiled and then used for tea (mostly). The vast majority of folks back then drank beer or ale and wine.

    Wait...does this fall under the useless info category? [lol]

    No one in Germany drinks tap water, last I knew. Bottled water. The tap water isn't fit to drink.

    I would not drink the tap water in germany,yuck. Was also one of the things they told us if we went to the east. It was always warm soda,beer or wine.
