They're walking back Officer Sicknick's cause of death. EDIT 4/19/21: They're saying it was Natural Causes

"... according to two law enforcement officials".

Well, according to journalistic ethics,
reporters are bound to conceal the identity of sources who request anonymity
only so long as their tips are truthful.
An anonymous source who lies to a reporter is not entitled to secrecy.

So when will the NY Times be publishing the names of the two law enforcement sources
who BSed the paper with a narrative about the officer's death that was made up out of whole cloth?
I earned a BA in Journalism in 1985.

While it wasn't ethical then nor now, we were taught to quote "a bystander who declined to be named", or "multiple witnesses claimed" as a way to insert truth in response to official statements.

Note what I said there: to insert truth in response to official statements.

Now, the "news" openly colludes to lie in support of official statements.

OAN did a full report on this huge misinformation campaign this morning. Don’t let anyone you love watch MSM. It’s 100% lies and meant to manipulate.
