They Are Not Coming to Take Your Guns – It May be Worse Than That

Jim Wallace

How many times have Second Amendment civil rights proponents heard that over the years? One of the biggest fears of lawful gun owners is that they will have their property taken from, and they will be defenseless. Will it happen? Maybe that is not their plan at all, and that should be the most concerning thing! Why, you ask?

Over the last decade or so we have quietly witnessed what I truly believe to be a new strategy. Imagine the physical optics and the cost to force lawful citizens to line up and turn in their guns. It would be an enormous task and the fallout could be disastrous. A much more insidious plan is what Massachusetts has already begun to do.

In 2016, the Massachusetts Attorney General singlehandedly reinterpreted nearly two decades of established law. Literally overnight, she changed the so-called assault weapons laws to suit her own political purposes. The result was a complete ban on an untold number of firearms. At first people thought that the AG had grandfathered all previous transfers and ownership. GOAL had to inform them that they were incorrect. There was no grandfathering, the AG just chose not to prosecute at that time. That is when we coined the phrase, “Felons in Waiting”.

What had actually transpired is that anyone who had transferred/possessed one of the unknown guns since the 1998 law passed was now a Felon in Waiting. I actually ran into a few folks at a service station where I get my oil changed after the AG action. They were very concerned and asked if they should get rid of any guns that might fall under the new ruling. They were a little shocked when I told them it didn’t matter. That is because in the AG’s eyes they had already committed the crime. So even if they got rid of them, they were still Felons in Waiting.

In a similar fashion, bump stock devices were banned, but no one came around looking for them. The legislature simply made them illegal. So, anyone who still has one is now a Felon in Waiting.

What if the plan is not to go around confiscating our guns, but rather to turn a huge sector of our society into Felons in Waiting? Why is that so bad, or good for them, you might ask. Simple, what better way to silence and intimidate your political enemies by holding a felony charge over their heads. The prosecution of it would mean imprisonment and the loss of all of their civil rights, not just the Second Amendment. This strategy costs virtually nothing, they don’t have the optics of confiscation, and they can carefully select who they enforce it against to make an example.

Imagine a nation with a hundred million or more carrying over their heads the label of Felon in Waiting? So maybe they really aren’t coming to physically take our guns, but our liberty as a whole.

First, she thought Hillary was going to win. So she decided to audition for USAG. That is the only reason she did that.
She blew the audition for Biden AG too. But she will still audition for appointment to US Attorney for MA.

Statute of limitations is 6yrs, no? So if you bought a black rifle in, say, 2010, you should theoretically be fine by now.

If there is any lesson that I took away form the left from 2016-2020 is that civil disobedience works. I have no obligation to submit to an unconstitutional law no matter how milquetoast our courts have become. Let's be honest, Maura isn't going to be kicking in doors, shooting the family pets, and holding a family at gun point in the front yard at 3AM to take away some rapscallion with a clean criminal record to make an example of them. The optics are bad. No this isn't about convictions or felons it's about 2 things:

1). Having people living in fear that the .gov is coming for them because they have a scary black rifle that they say "Okay give me the $50 target gift card, here's the scary black rifle"
2). Scaring businesses into selling the goods to the people.

This isn't about imprisonment, it's about controlling the population with fear and threats...with impunity I might add.

What does anyone think this is going to look like when their family doctor who is an outstanding member of the community is being put on trial and sentenced to 10 years in prison for a scary black rifle. Do you think people are going to phew we're all better now that Dr Spock is gone? Or are people going to be outraged? There are plenty of high level white collar manager/executives/business owners/community leaders. Yeah that's not going to work. It will be really interesting to see if the sh*t talk of the left is going to take away ARs from minorities who are just now discovering their 2A rights.

What do you think is going to happen if Joe Biden turns all of these people into felons?

They'll either get you on simple possession of an evil baby killing rifle or more likely ruin you financially. You'll spend every cent you have defending against malicious prosecution even though they know they can't win (assuming you can pay to defend yourself). When your money runs out you can't pay for "justice" anymore and you'll go to jail. It's a longer process but effective.

Here's the $64 question. Let's be honest here. The people we are talking about are very law abiding citizens. You might squeeze out a couple of convictions, but juries are not going to be seeing people coated in tattoos with jail house manners. It's going to be people just like them. Maybe even people they work with or know or are neighbors with. They don't want to put people on trial because it's bad PR, it may be difficult if not impossible to get a conviction. Even if the juries do convict and send people off to the gulags, then there are real living human beings that courts have to deal with. It's no longer a theoretical argument over gun control, it's real people in jail. This is just a way of controlling people through fear.

The victims will be carefully selected. They'll be vulnerable in some indefensible way and likely not have the resources to fight on their own. Something about the case will make it difficult for COMM2A to to help out. Whoever gets that inevitable "thumbs down" is going to jail, probably for a decade or more. THAT will frighten most of the rest into submission.

WE are Law Abiding Citizens.

Our legal system is NOT run by Law Abiding Citizens, but by monsters. I'll cite the recent impeachment of Trump where he stands accused of inciting riot and murder by uttering the words "Please protest peacefully!".

As Ayn Rand said:“There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws.”

Since the COTUS is the supreme law of the land all those politicians and government officials that violate their oath to uphold the COTUS are the real felons but unfortunately they've gotten away with committing crimes against we the people. Too many of our ancestors and too many of us have foolishly allowed our servants to become our masters.

I think most will be accidental discoveries by police when they arrive at peoples' homes on an unrelated matter (ie: accompanying EMS personnel or firefighters). Some arrests will begin with a routine traffic stop and discovery of a banned item in the vehicle.

And 99.999% will plead to a lesser offense that still makes them prohibited, but they don't lose 10 years of their life and all their assets.

The prosecution will wait for that perfect case with all the boxes checked and nail that person to the cross. And they'll get away with it and even some of us will say, well DUH that was a really bad person because all we'll know about them is what we read on Twitter and Facebook.

Remains to be seen whether the courts will actually apply the constitution/bill of rights OR if they will punt as they did in the PA election case

I remain cautiously optimistic that there is still hope for the supreme court and lower courts to actually exert their constitutional role and check the abuse coming out of the legislature/executive branch....even if its narrowly defined

There are bright spots/reasons to hold out hope amongst the mess we've seen lately.....example.....the 9th circuit has largely been turned around in last couple years.....to the point where we have a case from the 9th making its way to SCOTUS where the court rejected the california mag ban/regulations.......kind of a big case and the exact opposite of what one would have expected just 5 years ago

Clean cut people are the ones that go down hard and the dirtbags walk. We live in a fallen world everything is inverted.

Like the NYC GK arrests that landed tens of thousands of innocent construction workers and stage hands in jail before the law was changed.

And if that happens, the first thing some gun owners are going to do is retaliate in kind.

Life is not a one way street and NOBODY, NO MATTER WHAT GOVERNMENT BADGED GANG THEY BELONG TO IS UNTOUCHABLE. IF YOU PARTICIPATE, YOU BECOME A TARGET ALONG WITH EVERY MEMBER OF YOUR FAMILY.

Texas legislature is already beginning to talk about a grand exit again.......
Texas in particular because they explicitly reserved the right to re-separate, IIRC.

Not if every day of ongoing possession is a new crime.
That's unlikely to be a matter of opinion. Either it is or it isn't.
I don't know which, but I won't be surprised if the general question
is settled law.

Urban legend.

Texas was voluntarily annexed into the U.S. in 1845, under those terms.

Then Texas seceded, and was re-admitted to the Union via conquest. All previous agreements were moot.

I think they can do whatever they want.

If Harris can steal an election all laws are null and mute.

So, what is the point of this post?

Are there action items we need to know or do?

Is this to alert us to something? What do we do with this information? Are we supposed to "spread the word? If so, are there cites to back up the statements, so we don't look like conspiracy theorists?

How does this fit in with GOAL? Is this their new mission? What is the current mission of GOAL?

This post raises more questions than answers for me. Not a knock, just confused. The waters are now muddier.

So, what is the recourse then?

How about all the people who follow the social media and agree with the socialist agenda? What if they send your own relatives and "friends" over to collect and inspect?

At what point does the populace spring these people out?

And if not? How do you take the court, to court?

Time to revert BACK AGAIN, then.
