If you pulled this out in MA, they'd grab you for impersonating a LEO.

IIRC, you are not impersonating a LEO in MA till you try to perform the actions on a LEO (try to arrest someone, pull a car over, ect.).
Of course, that just means they either won't charge you or the charges will be dismissed. They will most likely still grab you just out of suspicion. [thinking]

The only thing i could see these being used for, are the presidential debates. States that are CCW only could have this LOL[shocked]. On the other hand, i think a visible empty holster would present a larger statement.
 
Notice that the one in the case is an "Antique Firearms Collector" badge.

My old Dad has a badge that says "Junk Collector" on it from the turn of the last century.

I'd say that anyone that gets one of the above badges should also be given a free junk collectors badge.
