Upon the officers arrival they met with several people, one of them an 18 year-old male suffering from a single gunshot wound to his leg.
The officer was approached by a 22-year-old male robbery victim. This male informed the officer that he was coming home to his apartment, walking up his driveway, approaching the rear of his house when he observed a male dressed in dark clothing. The male was walking towards him pushing the victim’s dirt bike. The male told the officer that his dirt bike was being stored in his back yard. When the victim spotted the male trying to steal his dirt bike he took out his cellphone and illuminated him with the phone’s flashlight. The victim was transported to a local hospital and treated for a non-life threatening injury.
Several officers arrived at the scene. The search for the suspect provided negative results. Officers did locate and recover the dirt bike.
