I only recently got into shooting and just picked up my first two toys the other week.

Sig Sauer P229R .40 S&W w/ night sights and tac rail.

This was supposed to be my only toy, but after shooting a buddy's AR15, I fell in love and had to buy one for myself.





Bushmaster Carbon 15 M4

Both are quite accurate and very fun to shoot

The 229R .40 is probably my favorite Sig! It's sooo nice and shoots so smooth. I use it in IDPA quite a bit.

I think the Sig 229 is hands down a better gun than any out of the box 1911.
Ask me in 100 years or so if it has the same longevity...
Seriously, I love my 229 and my AR. You made two good choices. Good luck.

First guns: a Sig 229 and AR15.. Way to go. My first gun was a Ruger 10-22. Its a great gun, but no where near the level of your beginning!!!

thanks for the compliments guys. I almost bought an M1 Garand instead of the AR, but I'm happy with my choice. Having said that, my next will probably be the M1.
I can't believe how quickly I got hooked on these things
