Well that sucks. I thought states could control certain aspects of the way they do elections but was under the impression that the fed provides certain guidelines, ie. the first Tuesday of November following the first Monday, the state legislatures decide the how and where not secretaries of state or board of canvassers. So it seems like we live in a time where these states can just straight up do what ever they want and those in the federal government accept it as is. This is only gonna get worse then. The very liberal states have figured out they can mail in all kinds of ballots and the people of those states along with the federal government officials have to deal with it.
Oh, there are definitely guidelines. But the feds don't control the elections, so the challenges come in the state courts. And the clock is ticking!

Remember, there's a reason the Founders set things up this way. It sucks here and now for Trump, but it's better than the alternative in the long run. I think it's very unfortunate he didn't try to reach out to just a few more voters. If Trump had been a little more palatable, he'd have won the election going away.

Say what? Trump had 10 million more votes and increased in all demographics except white males which he held. Those 10 million are votes that were actually counted. I'm not even mentioning the ones that were stolen or thrown out

Dr Shiva created a template for people to request their own town data. Send this to your town clerk. Email him the files when you get them and he'll do all the analysis and add it to his database.

I respect your experience from living in a communist country, and really appreciate your relating the lessons learned. I despise communists. I always tell my kids
that "communists are the worst people on earth" whenever the subject comes up. I know there was a lot of misguided support for communism in the US the early 20th century,
a lot of from before most people knew what was really happening in communist countries. But I feel McCarthy was actually the more immediate threat to freedom in the US than the communists were. We're most vulnerable to being destroyed from within, using the power of our own government.

McCarthy used fear of communists to make a grab for power , and I think he was moving toward some kind of dictatorship; he was using the same tactics as the communists used, show-trials, vague accusations, amplifying paranoia and fear, making scapegoats, harassment by the government, and using people's fear to turn them against one-another and charges of disloyalty to stifle any criticism. He was a dangerous man, and I think it is pretty clear that with scum like Roy Cohn as his henchmen, he was up to no good. And I think Trump is taking some pages from McCarthy's playbook right now. Roy Cohn was a kind of mentor to Trump.
I hate communists BUUUUTTTTT.......

So you are saying if Trump was a little nicer, he could have overcome the cheating that may have occurred? Ok.

Picton,

If I linked to articles in the NYT or WaPo... how would you know they were any different in bias, citation, slickly produced infographics, etc? Having some big corporation with a physical office doesn't make the end product and better or worse than some freelancer in their pajamas.

Media is media no matter what the format. It's always going to be biased one way or another because it is a product of human endeavor. Even AI assembled reporting is going to be biased based on the input of the original human programmer.

Unless you are experiencing an event FIRST HAND there will always be a bias. Even video of an event, depending on viewing angle can have a bias because the view is fixed compared to being there in person where you can at least pan and take in larger sensory input.
I think he doesn’t understand that Twitter got a US President elected and god knows how many Congressman, Senators, City Councilors, etc.. I’m just waiting for the influences of Trump TV!!😂👍🏻

Wow, the Trump 'legal' team is now quite desperate, maybe delusional, claiming mass fraud by both Democrats and Republicans (no actual specific names of course).
Very Trump-speak, 'We have no idea how many Republicans ...", and they can always backpedal later and say "could have been zero, we said we had no idea".
This crosses a line into being un-American behavior, reminds me of the McCarthy approach, "we have a list of communists who have infiltrated the US government".

U don’t think that there are Republicans in on this Fraud???

that first debate, a LOT of soccer moms and independents were watching how the president would carry himself. they had heard the lefties saying he was a monster...so they were undecided themselves. they watched, Trump acted like he had a screw loose, unpresidential. and he lost that vote.
by the time the 2nd presidential debate came along, and he DID behave himself, did not look batshit crazy, and was presidential in his tone and demeanor...it was too late--they either already voted or already made up their minds.

so election day, all the suburbs with their mail in ballots go HEAVILY for Biden.

there is no way to prove it for certain, but in my mind Trump acting like a horses ass in debate #1 cost him the election.

Hah!!!!!! “A few more voters”???...”more palatable”??? He got almost 74million votes and turned Dade county Red. Trump could of signed the Green New Deal, Free Health Care, Universal Basic Income, Cured Covid and gave everyone a new car and they still would of did what they did to get him out.

Anyone that is undecided and needs a presidential debate to sway their vote is a few pennies shy of a whole dollar!!! These are folks that have no ability to read and comprehend, never mind do an hour or two of serious research into a candidate's voting or legislative history and investigate what good and bad they have done for and against our country.
Christ, most people that live in a suburb are a quarter turn from sane and reasonable!!

Damn, I wish I could like this a thousand times. 4 years of Socialist attacks on our Country, our Constitution, our Religion, our Families and indeed there are some who think "well, let me watch the debates before I make up my mind"

But TRUMP, obviously, desperately needed their vote.

Per Sidney, political puppeteers will be exposed with their pants down, at a multigenerational biblical level. It's long past due.

And the agencies that are supposed to be protecting us are doing what?

That scary thing is, if Powell actually has the goods, there is a very non zero chance she gets Epstein’d before she can make the case.

Would that it were.

What has the trump legal team done this far that is inspiring this type of confidence. I mean, I have hope, but no confidence they have the goods.

Problem is, we DON'T know the accurate vote tally for Trump, it's completely distorted and FUBAR'D!! It appears that Trump didn't blow it, but has the most presidential votes in history. Because of Donks wanting to play games, this election will never yield a truthful final number for Trump. So to say he needed this or that has no validity to it as we have no final number to use for a basis for criticism.

the only valid way to prove that is to lay out the evidence before the SUPREME COURT and live with their decision.
I do not see a lot of movement in that direction. maybe there is behind the scenes stuff, but from what i can SEE, juiliani is dropping the ball at the 2 yard line.

I have no issues getting both sides of a story.
I was taught there is your truth - My truth and then between those two is THE TRUTH. Now while I might not choose to get the other side from a horrible unwatchable source such as say CNN that doesn’t mean I’m not seeking out the other side.

There are a couple members here that are anti trump and I have no issue with seeing that. What I wish is they would give articles, links etc that show what and why they have come to the conclusions they talk about.
That would give me the opportunity to form my own opinions based on them. I am always open to new information and changing my outlook Based on new info.
My favorite assignments from History in HS were document set analysis based. We would get a set with, for example, a letter from a person at an event, then a few newspaper clippings from different papaers, then two text book or biography excerpts, or court cases/laws made in response to the initial event.

The game was to find the bias in the reporting, and track how the initial report changed smell and flavor as it moved through other humans minds.

Twitter, as nasty as it is, is actually giving us the chance to sometimes be able to perform that analysis ourselves.

We are hindered by two factors. 1. They diddle with individuals search ability. 2. They diddle with content directly by content removal, and indirectly, through their new imprenting mechanism (the thing which is putting the warnings about disputed content, and AP has called the election for ...)

(1) is the most worrisome. It's like being denied 2/3 of the card catalogue because you like wearing flip-flops and have facial hair.

If we were to combat something, it would be (1). If twiteer were to be put to the screws as a press rather than a network provider, the number one thing we should fight for would be transparency in their core post index. Times and metadata are vital. Maybe more so than the actual content.

Wonder what those soccer moms will think when the "Abolish the suburbs " plan kicks into place.
Think they will still be polishing Biden's knob when they slap a 120 unit section 8 complex right behind their 900 thousand dollar mcmansion ?
Right after hubby gets "Downsized " when his company ships most of the work overseas of course.
I'll always be able to survive , these dipshits however.. Good luck.

Maybe it started before this but I seem to remember this mindless shit starting when slick Willy donned his ray bans and played the sax on some late night show. I seem to remember people saying that bought him the young vote. It's led us to this sad state of affairs where we cast a vote for the most mind numbing reasons.

What f*cked Trump was the Libertarian party and all the uneducated people voting for the sake of voting (see the last quote in my signature).

The speech did not turn off 100K people in PA.
But he did sound like a moron.

Roy Cohn was a kind of mentor to Trump.
Let's use just one concrete example, Henry. When I was living in the Europe controlled by Soviets American communist was paraded in most of the countries of Warsaw Pact. She was talking against America and promoted the worst communist practices. In anybody's book, even in communist's manuals, she was a clear traitor of the American people. Today, this very same Angela Davis is teaching at the university in America. Bernie Sanders, another product of the Soviet regime, was even running for the president.

Klement Gottwald, the first communist president of Czechoslovakia, was enjoying freedom of the speech and announced to a shocked parliament that: "We communists are learning from Moscow how to brake your necks." At that time Czechoslovakia was a liberal democracy and Gottwald was nobody, he was representing rogue communist club supported from Moscow. Democratic media used his speech to show how much freedom democracy allows. In few years after this statement communists under Gottwald killed democratically elected politicians in show trials, and they twisted everything, just like our donks are doing today. Very same was happening in Poland, Yugoslavia, Albania, Hungary, Germany, Austria.

America never understood communism. McCarthy broke the idea of one patriotic America, which won 2 world wars. He has showed, correctly, that the virus is here, and unless we do something about it, we will have fake elections, fake media, fake education and gulags on it's way. General public did not like it, mostly because McCarthy could not present the full evidence from the other side. KGB archives were closed and they remain closed today.

What kills communism forever in one's country is the communism itself. There is not one country in the world, which has implemented communism, got away from it, and then introduced it again. Democracy does not kill communism. Brutality of the communism, especially brutality exhibited against the liberals and left minded people in general, leaves no doubt in anybody's mind. America is ripe for the communism and it will get it.

No one is going to see the hand that Trump holds until he's ready to show it. Everyone is harping about time constraints which to a point is valid. However, it appears on the surface that the Donks were careless and left plenty of dirt that was not tidied up and swept under the carpet, even more so that they didn't bother to do the math part of their charade!! Again, what cards Sidney and the rest of Trump's team are holding is completely unknown and the strategies they are playing is anyone's guess. I will say this though, Attorney Powell and the rest of the team are not going to make statements that they cannot back up, the reputation(s) are stellar and proven. At this point, only jackasses are speculating and foot in mouth disease will be rampant!!
