Trump is the very reason the military got that big budget increase.
That huge spending bill he signed in his rookie year, where he got rolled by Chuck & Nancy, (they were just giddy over it), the only reason he caved to their demands was to get that defense funding increase.
How many more bases would have been closed by now if Hilldabeast had won ???
We should be closing a lot of bases. I don't see your point. The mil budget should be cut by at least half and a lot of bases around the world should be closed.

Totally agree.......we have HUNDREDS of bases in Germany alone........

Rinse and repeat in Japan, SK and a lot of places you would never suspect.

The military budget can be cut dramatically with zero loss in effectiveness or readiness. Cutting bases would be huge, but simple things would be a great start.
As a retired Air Force Intel puke, if we put a stop to the USAF buying large screen TVs for the next ten years, it would probably save a half billion.
But no one ever sees military cuts without forecasting doom and gloom, so spending just gets stupider.
What the DoD needs is a grumpy skinflint NCO with no ties to corporations like me to oversee the budget like I do my family’s requests for turning on the heat.

Signs on the partition walls, "No head shots, No exceptions".
What is that all about? Some sort of touchy-feely range, "Sure shoot your guns, but don't offend anyone's delicate sensibilities"? Or is their a practical reason?

:emoji_tiger:

P.S.> It is understandable if you cannot locate the signs in the photo.

Some of the 'not as tall' tend to shoot upward when aiming for the head. This can also be a problem where a miss hits the target system.

This seems a bit silly given if it is a known issue, the range should simply make the target hanger shorter to bring the target to a better position.

Gee dropping like flies these days

Via: Palm Beach Daily News:

Joseph Recarey, a former Palm Beach detective who had a knack for making others smile, who tackled the island’s largest and most important investigations, and who cared deeply for his family and friends, died Friday, May 25, 2018, after a brief illness. He was 50.

Recarey was one of the most decorated police officers in the history of the department with more than 150 commendations, 11 officer-of-the-month awards and a 2013 Palm Beach Police Foundation Officer of the Year award, Reiter said. He worked in several units, including the Organized Crime Vice and Narcotics Unit and the Palm Beach County State Attorney’s Public Integrity Unit. He was a lead detective in many major investigations, including the high-profile solicitation-of-minors case against billionaire Jeffrey Epstein.

After the deadly Feb. 14, 2018, mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas HS in Parkland, Fla., national media focused largely on a handful of student activists, leaving it to victims’ parents to unravel why the slaughter happened. Andrew Pollack, whose daughter, Meadow, was one of the 17 killed, conducted his own investigation to uncover the roots of what he calls the most avoidable mass murder in American history. He and Max Eden are co-authors of “Why Meadow Died: The People and Policies that Created the Parkland Shooter and Endanger America’s Students.” This adapted excerpt, based on never-before-released educational records of the shooter, Nikolas Cruz, shows the Broward County school district knew full well about his obsession with guns and murder — and then let him practice shooting at school.

When staff at Westglades Middle School heard that Nikolas Cruz had committed the massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas HS, some couldn’t believe it. The fact that he was a mass murderer wasn’t what surprised them, but rather the fact that he had attended that school.

Liberal logic on display folks...Oregon

Headline One: E-cigarette deaths climb as officials confirm some illnesses caused by oil in lungs from vaping marijuana

Headline Two: Oregon is one step closer to being the first state to legalize psychedelic mushrooms

Details from Headline One: At least four people have died after using e-cigarettes and about 450 possible cases of severe lung diseases are now under investigation — more than doubling the breadth of the mysterious illness that has gripped the country, federal health officials announced Friday. The cases have spread to 33 states, most related to people vaping marijuana products, officials said.

Details from Headline Two: Oregon voters may get the chance to decide whether or not to become the first state to legalize psychedelic mushrooms next year. The ballot title for the Psilocybin Service Initiative, or Initiative Petition #34, was certified Friday and now supporters of a measure to legalize psilocybin in controlled settings can gather signatures to get the issue on the ballot in 2020. The initiative won’t mean that “magic” mushrooms are legal at all times and everywhere in the state. Instead, the measure would allow “manufacture, delivery, administration of psilocybin at supervised, licensed facilities.”

So...what's your problem with that? If you want to inhale oil from vaping, go nuts. As long as you are an adult and are warned of potential health risks, you should be free to do whatever you want. Wanna eat shrooms...go for it. Just do it at home where you can't hurt anyone. Wanna vape weed, do it at home so you don't hurt anyone.
