Well it is the Midwest. According to the 2 liberal morons I overheard at the gym it's just full of "knuckle draggers". All the smart people are on the East and West coasts.

Oh, and in case you wondered it's Trumps fault that the water in Flint MI is full of lead.

I wish I could have found a way to accidentally drop a weight on one of them.
^ this is why I wear BT headphones at the gym, so I dont hear people yakking or any of that crap... [laugh]

The only "good" thing he will do for 2A is if RBG kicks off we might get another pro2A justice out of him, assuming he's not stupid enough to pick a David Souter.

That's about all trump was ever good for wrt RKBA.

On the flip side, what about this BS about him picking a known anti to run the ATF instead of just finding someone boring and apolitical to do it? That's a pretty tough sell. I mean they are a problem
regardless of who runs them, but having a full blown, known anti running them has the potential to be terrifying....

No kidding to that. Basically at any given point now anything pertaining to shoulder braces and what not can easily become a targeted item of their ire. Or better yet, maybe they'll take down e-file again and force us back into the stone age again where everything takes basically a year of your life.

Trump had been a dick about 2A, the problem being he listens to the NRA.
There's that, but ironically I think he has also sucked for populist pandering anti gun agents/actors have been spraying around for a long time. It's almost as if he thinks that people that support some gun control in any meaningful way are actually statistically meaningful, when in reality, they're likely irrelevant. It almost smells like he is sucking a little bit for the peacocking the antis are doing, which is disturbing. He could easily
tell antis to f*** off in Trump fashion and get away with it, EG, say something like "why is it all you media people talk about banning things after something terrible like this happens? " or similar, but he doesn't do
it. He sucks for what he thinks is the populist viewpoint, eg "decrying more "evil-er guns and accessories" yet no one seemed to inform him that all of that stuff had RECORD SALES during the Obama administration. It really is
mind boggling. There are precisely ZERO wonkies/middles that are going to vote for him based on an anti gun stance. The states he needs to swing the most in an election are almost incontrovertibly pro gun to the point
that it will often cross the aisle in those places.

I don't think they'll take down e-file because the entire reason for that was to forestall a lawsuit. (if it takes years to get an NFA stamp you could potentially argue something in federal court).

What I'd be more concerned about is administrivial BS, the way they treat dealers and that sort of thing. Last thing we want to see is a repeat of the horseshit that happened with FFLs during the Clinton Administration.

Refugee numbers worldwide hit record high: UN | DW | 19.06.2019

For the first time ever, the number of displaced people reached 70.8 million at the end of 2018.

Grandi commended the US for being the "largest supporter of refugees" and the biggest single donor to UNHCR.

"In America, just like in Europe actually and in other parts of the world, what we are witnessing is an identification of refugees — but not just refugees, migrants as well — with people that come take away jobs that threaten our security, our values," Grandi said. "And I want to say to the US administration — to the president — but also to the leaders around the world: This is damaging."

"It's a line that many people embrace because they have apprehensions and fears. But it is not a good line," he told DW.

He also criticized long-term administrative issued in the US that caused it to have world's biggest backlog of asylum seekers. Some 719,000 asylum claims are currently waiting to be resolved in the US.

"Restrictions, closures, push backs are not only wrong. Let's remember that these people are fleeing from war, conflict, violence and discrimination. So they need help," Grandi said. "The problem will not go away. It would just move to another part of the world. It would be a problem there. And it is just waiting to come back to the rich countries."

every woman in the country wanted to be her in the 60's
According to the Cronkite media.

Half the country hated the Kennedys. He barely won vs. Nixon likely due to voter fraud. Camelot was the same fake news crap as the fawning over the Obamas.

Do you have a gun? Ask yourself what you would have today if any one of those bozos (Dem or Rep) would have won.
