He is trying to get everyone to commit process crimes. Which is why charges for process crimes not directly related to the initial subject of investigations shouldn't be permitted. No fishing expeditions!

China's economy was already starting to tank prior to the Trump tariffs. This quarter and the next quarter will be particularly bad for them wrt the tariffs taking hold if they are not amenable to renegotiate. What's more harmful to American companies, a tariff war or the continuation of the unfair trade practices by the Chinese? Hint: I don't know the answer to the question.

I spent several hours last night gaming out my options. A 25% tariff is a huge additional cost. I'm going to shift the business I can to Taiwan and I'll be telling my Chinese suppliers my 2019 orders will be as small as possible and pushed out as far as possible.

So that's the message that will doubtless be duplicated by many American companies. I hope the Chinese give the President what he wants quickly. I'm not terribly hopeful but we'll see. China is a face society and Xi Jinping is not going to want to appear to have rolled over for President Trump.

I can't read the Globe article, but I assume it's the same one or similar to the one in my link. It appears that there is a hold on the 25% tariff for 90 days and that China perhaps will buy additional products from the US in "agriculture, energy, industrial, and other products" to ease the trade imbalance. XI also plans to make Fentanyl a controlled substance, which could reduce the amount coming into the US, although I'm sure that there is no shortage of suppliers.

As a result, it appears that Trump might be making some progress with China. China, OTOH, needs to stop passing itself off as a third-world, developing country.

Good luck with your plan (and the tariffs)!

US, China call a 90-day truce in trade war as Trump, Xi agree to continue wide ranging talks

    Obviously

But there are a lot of anti Russian things going on right now, like that weasel mueller’s probe. Trump will pick the right time, like he did to fire Sessions

They haven't found anything on Trump or his associates from anywhere near the election (besides intentionally manufactured process crimes) - what happens when they find one of them to roll and accuse Trump of something. I would caution those on the left - I'm not sure even the constitutionalist right will sit on the side lines, the crazy right won't but I'm not sure the left wants to go there.

I wonder if our liberals will protest this decision. Maybe CNN forgot to tell them.

If you’ve never been to the filming of a show with an audience they actually have huge signs that say “applause” and light up that tell you when to clap.

Mueller, however, in his nine-page charging document filed with the court seen by Capitol Hill sources, failed to include the fact that Cohen had no direct contacts at the Kremlin - which undercuts any notion that the Trump campaign had a "backchannel" to Putin.

On page 7 of the statement of criminal information filed against Cohen, which is separate from but related to the plea agreement, Mueller mentions that Cohen tried to email Russian President Vladimir Putin’s office on Jan. 14, 2016, and again on Jan. 16, 2016. But Mueller, who personally signed the document, omitted the fact that Cohen did not have any direct points of contact at the Kremlin, and had resorted to sending the emails to a general press mailbox. Sources who have seen these additional emails point out that this omitted information undercuts the idea of a “back channel” and thus the special counsel's collusion case. -RCI

Ocasio-Cortez Gets Roasted After 'Strikingly Erroneous' Claim

Socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tried Sunday to explain how Pentagon accounting errors somehow justified the existence of a $32 trillion government healthcare system and failed miserably.

Ocasio-Cortez’s mental gymnastics were based off an excerpt of an article from the far-left publication, The Nation, which stated:

In all, at least a mind-boggling $21 trillion of Pentagon financial transactions between 1998 and 2015 could not be traced, documented, or explained, concluded Skidmore.

Ocasio-Cortez tweeted: “$21 TRILLION of Pentagon financial transactions ‘could not be traced, documented, or explained.’ $21T in Pentagon accounting errors. Medicare for All costs ~$32T. That means 66% of Medicare for All could have been funded already by the Pentagon. And that’s before our premiums.”

Brian Riedl, Senior Fellow at the Manhattan Institute, explained why Ocasio-Cortez’s tweet was utter lunacy, noting that the Department of Defense has not even spent $21 trillion in the over 70 years that it has existed.
