The New 007 is a Pu**y

"Bullets have a nasty habit of finding their target and that's what's scary about them."

What an a**h***!!!

I'm kinda curious if (bein a Brit and all) if he's ever used a gun besides the half-assed (and probably filled with saftey hazards, and bad practiceses) gun handling done on movie sets.

I doubt it.

Besides his stance on guns, there are also several mistakes in the article.

The actor will wield 007's famous Walther PPK
Bond is now using the P99, even in the picture in the article. (although, considering this goes back to the first book they may revert to the PPK)

Nor does the 37-year-old share Bond's love of Martinis shaken and stirred.
Shaken not stirred.

I don't think anybody makes a Martini stirred any more
This just goes to show how misinformed he is! :D

Overall, he sounds like he's going to be a very disappointing Bond. I'll probably be passing on this one as well.

If this asshat is disturbed by what handguns can do to children, he ought to see what a populace without firearms combined with government militia armed with machetes and clubs can do. Oh, wait, you say those "so-called" children were really counter-revolutionary guerrillas subdued by the heroic protectors of the people. That's different, then. Never mind. F*ing limey twit.

BTW, remember that Bond never really liked the PPK. M forced it on him because he didn't trust the effectiveness of Bond's favorite ,25cal Beretta,

Like there's much difference between a .25 and a .32/7.65? [roll]

On a side note, having a Hoplophobe rant about not liking guns, is kinda like when the "Legalize Pot" croud have a smoke-out and get baked out of their MIND.

the only problem is I would bet that 90% of all Americans (at least in the Blue States...I can't really speak for the "Free World" 8) ) belive this drivel.

But anybody who's either tried pot, or knows somebody who does, should be able to spot a baked-out stoner.

I hate when the gun-grabbers get talking to me and all the "facts" that come out of thier mouth is BS that's propigated by the Media, and Celebrity "Experts".

Gahhhhhh!

I just love a hypocrite.

It's ok to play a gun-toting icon for millions of dollars. But if you actually believed that guns were evil, no amount of money would make you play a gun guy. I don't care if you are acting. Yeah we all know playing James Bond is really a chance to hone your craft seeing as everyone goes to see JB flicks because of the acting... [roll] [roll] [roll] [roll]

F*cking dumbass.

So many actors do that. They preach about how bad war is and that it isn't necessary, then they make 5 war films and net 30 million.

Hey, but they write a check for $10,000 to UNICEF or WHO afterwards. [roll] [roll] [roll] [Why, in a lot of cases that's almost as much as their monthly coke expenses.]

The new James Bond. Defends the world by writing letters to his enemies and staging protests. Maybe he will tie himself to his enemies fence until they agree to stop.

I hate people who friggen cry about how bad weapons and guns are, when if it wasn't for guns and wars the little queer wouldn't be able to be a movie star.

I see this guy being the next Timothy Dalton Bond. You know, the one who tried to make Bond PC and respect women. I mean, thats part of BEING Bond, getting the hot girls.

Being a Bond nut, wont be seeing it. Mabye if we write Pierce he would reconsider? I mean, I agree. Sean and Pierce were the best bonds hands down.

any handgun could not hurt any person or anything... it is the person who will be using it.

I can hurt people with my bare hands... even knock-off people. Who says I need gun to do so!

I guess everthing around me should be banned like the telephone handset, the telephone cord, my mug, wristwatch, ring, shoes, shoe string... these could hurt and KILL people! [twisted]

Fortunately... I've never even thought of hurting or destroying anything... except for paper punching!

Those who are worried of guns, could be the same people who are danger even to themselves!

Hey hey, Easy on Tim Dalton! I LOVED "Living Daylights" though I must say "Licence to Kill" was like watching Paint dry.

Now Roger Moore, he sucked as Bond...but he was fortunate enugh to have some GREAT screenplays written for his role and some GREAT actors with him (Chris Walken as Zorin, and Christopher Lee as "The Man with the Golden Gun" amoung many others)

Moore Made Bond almost goofy. Dalton did a good job at trying to reclaim that "edge". Of corse he looks about as tall as Tom Cruise, so that didn't do him any favors.

Arrrrr

Was talking with some journalist majors (I was one time a journalism minor) and they started to talk abotu gun control. I looked at them and said 'Hell with gun control! We need Pen and Pencil control.'

They looked at me and laughed, thought I was joking. When I told them I can easily puncture a neck and do serious, serious damage. They blinked. Needless to say they never talked gun control around me, afraid of what household item I can point out easily be turned into a weapon.

Cars make a MUCH better analogy. Just think of all the people are killed in car accidents. But not many people want to give up thier car because they "kill to easily"

Plus Seatbelts are a good analogy for CCW. I've been in about 4 car accidents....maybe ONE of them my seatbelt restrained me (if it hadn't I MAY have broken my nose...but probably not). and it's been YEARS since I've "needed" one. Also no longer being of the demographic known as "Stupid Teenagers", and I've given up speeding, so I have lowered my risk group. So why would anybody like me even WANT a car with a seatbelt?

why would anybody want to carry a firearm?

That is true!

I know a lot of people who have done just that, most of them even with bare hands as martial arts is kinda popular anywhere. Needless to say I've tried, in my not so long ago years, breaking some bricks and some 2x4's just with my bare hands! Guns to hurt people? I'll just give them a punch on the nose, no guns! [wink]

Again, I'm not into hurting people. Breaking bricks, hollow blocks... is just to find out what extreme things our hands are capable of doing. [wink]

I even feel bad whenever I have to kill some roaches!

CCW is one way to protect oneself. [wink] I have nothing against it as long as the person is properly licensed to carry...

I can have a permit to carry but for now.... I just make it sure that I will have a place to hide and be able to run fast! [wink] Ofcourse there were situations that I've wish I have one handy in situations where I need to help someone else, happened to me many times [where a holdup occured in a public transport where I am also a passenger while the rest where asked to give up their cash and valuables!] But dont want to hurt anybody with a gun. Hoping that I never have to use one. Its not the firearm that could hurt people, its the person!

...But isn't Bond "licensed to KILL"?
