Being the wonderful wife that I am (and because I did some sewing for someone who gave me a BIG tip), I went and bought Ed an early Yule present which I just gave to him. A bottle of Glenfiddich. He dipped his finger into the glass and held it out for Harley. The dog promptly licked his finger clean, and repeated it for the next two fingers coated with the single malt. The dog won't get within 2 feet of beer, but he knows the good stuff! [lol] [lol]

Good Dog!

Dukie was given the bowl to lick after we measured out some Vodka for a Vodka Marinara and he didn't want to lick it until we added Orange juice.

[lol] [lol] Can't say I blame him.

I can...but it's got to be a good vodka. LOL! I love good Vodka.

Have to say, I would take beer over a good scotch any day. My dad is a HUGE Scotch drinker. He's spent upwards to 3 and 400 dollars on a bottle. To each their own, but I've never really liked the taste of Scotch. And I've tried a bunch.

I'm partial to Jamison's myself. Tank has been a Scotch drinker, and had never had good Irish until he got back from Iraq in February. I corrupted him well, got him drinking Irish, and I think he likes it.

My son, though, drinks Canadian, usually Crown Royal.

Picked up a Bottle of Glenlevit myself. Rather good stuff. But still I think Wild Turkey is one of the best Whiskeys out there. I'm rather partial to Bourbon 8)

Just be careful you don't get busted for giving your dog alcohol. Afterall, if it isn't specifically spelled out as a crime in the MGL, I'm sure that some helpful neighbor animal welfare type would be quite willing to have you arrested for cruelty to animals. But remember this: if you do get busted it will be for your own good, it always is. Then you can be a convicted felon and not be allowed to own your guns anymore.

I usually don't get this sarcastic, but the above described scenario is plausible.... :(

Sadly,

After this evening I'd like to add:
The Macallan 10 year Fine Oak

It's been going down very smoothly.

Ah yes....I thought about getting Ed the MaCallan's, however, $60 was a bit out of my price range. He and a friend of ours nearly polished off a bottle of the Oak a couple months back. (and no, he didn't share any of it with the dog. [lol] )
