Ahh good old hometown.

Windsor has a great bbq restaurant... it's in a one floor building so I'm not too worried.

This is just plain gross.

there must be some mass in which below, you just dry out, something bigger and moister you would end oozing out.

Maybe not like a dead mouse, but if exuding enough to drip into the rented space below you, I have to guess >300 lbs if an ounce.

It's like making beef jerkey - the meat has to be thin enough to dry out before it rots. People are thick, and juicy, especially if you don't field dress them. That's why the Egyptians took out most of the squishy parts, and jarred them up.

It's also about the dryness - in the Andes the mummies were more-or-less freeze dried. A dead mouse in a moist area will get all bloated; a dead mouse in a hot attic will dry out.
