Tec-Site (front) Busted!

Has this happened to anyone else???

Ordered a new full front site and a front site housing from Tec-Site...

Now I have two... all's well that ends well.

Same thing happened to me last night. Lame. I put loctite in to hold it for now. I will not buy another one.

Did this happen when you were installing it? Could you have overtightened the set screw? I have a reputation for over torquing fasteners and both of mine are still attached.

I was going to say...It looks like that's what has happened. You can only snug it down. If you over tighten it will start lifting. You can see the gap as you tighten.
I've been saying all along that the front sight is junk and it would be worth the extra money to have it made out of steel.
