Yep, some 1911s will do that and worse with just one too many strokes of the stone...I'm not here to defend taurus but that looks like someone did some basement gunsmithing...
Here's the longer version of the video. The demonstrator puts on the safety and it still goes off when he shakes it. Since the safety locks the slide he needs to rack to eject the spent brass after each shot.
Load that sucker up with a full mag, strap it in one of those hardware store paint shakers and see what happens.
It's a Taurus firearm, what else would you expect? The slide to frame fit is so sloppy that the striker disengages and fires. "At least it didn't go full auto though"
Taurus also blown up like glock too.

Just saw my secret formula/code post. I guest it reflects how much love I have on Taurus. I hope this post don't reveal another secret formula/code.
Most of the people I've run into that talk about how bad Taurus products are, have never owned one, much less shot one. But...they "read it on the Internet". These same folks usually quote Snopes and Wikipedia as their best sources for information, too. The same jamokes that "only drink Miller Light" but have no clue when the bartender pours them a Bud light and tells them it's Miller.I see a lot of people down on Taurus from a state where you cant even buy them in. Do you guys even have any experience with them or just talking shit because they are a cheaper brand? In the comments section of the video several people said that this was a recall issue a few years ago in the 1911 type that they made. I have never had any issues with my two Taurus pistols. My 9 mil PT99AF I've had for 29 years, my other one which is my EDC is a PT145 and is very tight, very accurate and very reliable.

that is a little known feature, it shoots the guy then pistol whips him with the barrel.
