hi all. i'm having trouble pushing the take down plate down enough to remove the frame slide pin out. it goes down but half the pin is covered by the plate. how do i get the take down plate to go down and how would i replace it?

Push it down with the tip of a screwdriver (maybe a plastic screwdriver, since it's made of plastic). It will go "click" and go down far enough to get the pin out. If you try to do it with your finger you'll only get it halfway down.

Hey, did you have any trouble with brass shavings filling up your firing pin hole, leading to failure to fire? I just sent mine back to factory, there is supposedly a fix where they chamfer the hole, but they were kind of squirrelly on the phone. They claimed Aguila ammo was "foreign" and "not loaded to spec". hah.

Never had a problem with brass shavings. I use wwb or remington only. got about 500 rds through this baby and never had a fte or ftf. Bought it at flint arms. They really take care of there customers too. My first lc9 had a problem with the takedown plate. I brought it back next day and showed them the problem. They gave me a new lc9 and we had to go through all the paperwork again but small price to pay for quality service. this new lc9 is truly flawless. My primary ccw of choice is my ruger p345 but this lc9 is my next choice of carry.
