I received the counter weight for my ballistic helmet and with my experience its perfect... amateurs may think otherwise..the heavy helmet requires less weight.

I finally received my ops core skull mount.. it took like 8 months.. if you want one buy them now while in stock... since it is so light weight the counter weight( the larger of the two in the kit) is perfect.

I received the stuff i need to mount my hearing protection.

I know pictures or it didnt happen... i just trying to track down 3 lanyards for the skull mount. They are here somewhere,i put them somewhere 2 weeks ago.

The ops core skull mount while more expensive than any other option is one size fits all, very comfortable and well ballance.my concern is if the plastic straps break replacement part are un obtainable

I also received my pressure switches.. they are the best you can get But overpriced and leave aLot to be desired

20180415_183348.jpg I just need to install the hearing protection, find and install 3 lanyards on the left setup. Dig out my other identical ar15, install the pressure switch and drop in my .22 conversion.

So when im ready to go just grab what i want from my "day safe" where i keep whatever i may use that day and its just 300 feet to my 64 acre hunting camp.
Once i have my cellphone game camera setup.. ill be hunting while I'm laying in bed.

    Life is good.

It wasnt cheap. Im struggling with installing the hearing protection.
I basically overspent and bought the kit with parts i dont need..its upsetting and alot of stuff i do its near impossible to google the answer.
While wasting $120 really bothers me. For the overall price of the photo it is insignificant and could been alot worse.trying not to loose stuff is a real challange when every small piece cost a fortune.
    20180415_203235.jpg
Done, other then better routing on the headgear. Helmet was easy.
This unity setup wasnt worth the wait or money its still a crap setup unless there is a way to use the SARA clips, but i dont see how and it isnt worth breaking my peltors over

I love the atlas, but only have one..
It probably one of the only accessories i dont mind moving between firearms.

I debated buying some of the knock offs. But decided agaiat it.
The magpul knock off slings i have are better than the legitimate ones.

Funny you should say, I had a few beers and started talking thermal with snacks and he relentlessly fag-shamed me for even talking about it. [laugh]

I am hoping to read a review from xtry on his new hotness, I could get drunk enough to spend that much money...

Maybe we can hook up for some night time larping in June when I get back from my next trip? I would feel a lot better about my ridiculously expensive skateboard helmet if I used it more. [laugh]

If you're using Snacks as your barometer with night gear for actually killing shit, I feel bad for you son. I got 99 problems and a gear queer or instagram ain't one...

    Pfffffff.

Ackchyually i didnt fag shame him for wanting thermal, i fag shamed him for wanting the handheld one you cant use as a weapon mount and cant id much past like 200yds.

Im not a big hunter, but we've been "hunting" alot with NODS and the Trijicon REAP. Unless you're in a blind you need both. I spot stuff with my WP Sentinels just as much as my buddy does with his REAP, unless its buried in the woods. But anytime he sees something first and gives me a bearing i can usually see it pretty quick.

For killing people and/or hunting on the move,i think optimal setup is a pair of binos augmented with a monocular thermal unit that you can use to scan for threats before you move through danger areas etc. Once you know where they are use lasers and nv to shoot and move on them.

Im probably gonna get a REAP or IR patrol eventually. I want something i can use as a mono on a neck lanyard and clip on in front of a day scope if i want.

The things i hate about thermal based on my use of the REAP IRs:

    Size and weight
    Battery consumption
    Depreciation of value

I cant wait for thermal nightvision overlay technology to advance. We use the PSQ20s with our 50s, they're pretty nice.

50yd zero check, 3 round groups. Can't get it perfectly centered because the zero adjustment is 2MOA increments. Stacks rounds though. 18" SS 1:7 barrel.
