Besides the fact its covered and hes running an eotech, a lot of people run 45degree mounted red dots when using a magnified optic.

It's a 45 degree mount. Usually seen on guns with long-range optics up top. Seems a little pointless with an Eotech up top. These guys are approach insane levels of gear-whoredom. That, and the artistic nature of the photographs makes me think airsofters...

Ok - well maybe not. After looking at the other pics - there are a couple of other ones showing guys in there with AR's.

Maybe the Russians have adopted AR's too? I know the British Special Forces did. Looks like everything they have has an Eotech mounted on it - or some sort of copy.

This. That is a wannabe AR, not an AK.

A 1 o'clock red dot is actually pretty awesome on a scoped rifle, I some times use one on my rifle with a 1-4x.
