does anyone know the height of the front sight for the sw1911dk pistol? I am looking to replace the black blade with a fiber optic, but a lot of the choices ask for different heights. I want to keep the rear adjustable so any suggestions would help.
 
Call S&W customer service I just called about the sights on one of my pistols and got some great advice about the height of the sights I wanted. They really have some great people that answer the phones.

Order a sight pusher from them and do it yourself.

Dawson Precision has a front sight for the S&W in different widths. I use the .090 and like it. DAWSON PRECISION

Looks like they are all .180 high for adjustable sights.
