Hey guys, while shopping around for some ammo I came across some 38 special 158gr. Lead Round Nose made by Lapua that is supposedly police surplus or something. The price was 220$ for 700 rounds.(about 28cents a round.) Seem like a fair price? I currently reload for 45ACP only but will probably reload 38 special/357 soon after I build up a good amount of brass. So being that I will be able to recover about 100% of my brass after shooting it and be able to reload the cases many times, is it worth the small premium up front for good brass? I would appreciate your thoughts.
Thanks

28 cents a round is average for .38 Special plinking ammo these days, so yeah, get it.

Though you don't really need premium brass for any pistol ammo.

That's a lot of money for lead .38s.

I'd just get some once fired brass, dies, some bullets, etc, and go to town.

You don't need fancy brass to get the job done, especially not in .38.
