New England stops doing gun shows during the summer. For anything around here you'll have to wait for the fall.

I believe there is one in Allentown PA this weekend. If it is the one at the hotel...I think it is a Rodeway Inn...it is a good place. I've been there for a fall show but not a summertime show. There was a good deal of reloading stuff.

A few years ago in Allentown I went in September and enjoyed 3 gun shows within a short distance of each other all on the same day. Two in Allentown and one in Easton. There were more not that far away too. They are doing it again this year...Road trip perhaps?

Danbury last year.

My Danbury report from last August:

Forgot to count the tables. Maybe 85 tables Over 50% were firearms related. Only about 1/2 dozen vendors had more than 20 guns. One vendor was selling a collections of FN-49's, nice selection but high priced (although he did have a large sigh saying "make an offer"). No wait at 9:00, walk right in. Did pick up a few goodies. Was a reasonable fix, after several months on no shows.

Did hit a few shops on the way home: Sportsman's Outpost in Wolcott (nice selection of hunting rifles/gear); Jojo's Gun work's in Southington (all "black" guns); Newington Gun Exchange, in Newington (very nice collection of new and used); BMG Guns in Newington (Over priced black guns); and finally Hoffman's in Newington (the biggest gun store/firing range I have ever been in, unfortunately very few used firarms).

Overall the day was "two thumbs up".
