Suggest a Harris bipod model

This is what I got. I use it on my Rem 700 .308. It's a nice system.

Just double checked. That's the one I bought for my QD LR308. Here's the one I got for the Rem. I also bought the AD rail mount w/ sling swivel adapter. That way you have the option to put it on your AR.

What canndo recommended, I personally have an Atlas with ADM QD that can be switched in seconds between any rifle that has P-Rails.

Again, get something that you can use it on other rifles that you own instead to a specific one.

I'm in the same boat, but am looking hard at some of the side rail mounted options from vltor as well (which, of course, is irrelevant, as you probably have no side rails on your 700).

Agreed.

For the price on that Larue combo, I'd just get a GG&G or Atlas.

A couple of years ago, GG&G had a sale and I was able to get one for $160.

EDIT: They're having the same deal now.

I have several of the Harris models that Canndo linked to. For me, those 6" to 9" models work great for shooting off a bench. I have a similar model from Caldwell. It looks and works like the Harris, and costs less, but it isn't as "beefy" or nicely finished.
