How do you load a blind magazine in a bolt rifle to capacity? The only way I can think of is to put the 4 in, push down enough partly close the bolt enough to hold the top round in place, but leave enough room to slide one into the chamber. Obviously this would not work on controlled round feed, but the gun in question is a Remmy so moot.

Am I missing something? Mama always said I wasn't the brightest bulb in the box. Just wondering if there is a more elegant method.

basically as described, load mag to full, slide another round partially into chamber, press down the rounds in mag to allow the bolt to close over them and onto the chambered round. it works in any internal mag push feed that i have used. as you point out im not sure for a controlled feed if its possible. there are so many mauser fans out there I’m sure they’d have that answer.
