Study: California gun laws do not reduce gun homicides, suicides

Comprehensive background checks and prohibitions on possession by persons convicted of certain violent misdemeanors do not reduce firearm homicides or suicides.

Annals of Epidemiology (Sorry, but I'm too lazy to do a proper APA-style citation.)
Clearly we haven't prohibited enough people. It's like herd immunity - if enough people are completely blocked, then nobody can get them any more...

Such laws condition the populace to subservience which is an important goal for the opposition.

The gun control phenomenon operates on the principle of replacing critical thinking with confirmation bias. Many people have assigned false authority to ideas, without impartial validation, as a refuge for their own insecurity. California (and large population centers in general) orient towards herd belief systems to achieve social acceptance. It's pointless to rationalize this with true believers, who will never give up protecting their self-esteem or protected class to promote the blessings of liberty. Therein lies the problem.

Don't sweat it. It'll go nowhere.

People on both sides routinely ignore studies that contradict their biases. Why should this one be any different?
